We are often asked questions about hiring sound, lighting or staging. Getting the right equipment for any event can get very technical, after all.

Although we do the hard work for you so that your event runs smoothly (we will deliver set up and collect), we want you to understand everything you need to know about hiring sound equipment from us.  Here are answers to some the questions that are commonly put to us.

I’m organising an event, what size PA system do I need?

This depends on a number of factors including the size of the room, number of guests attending and the type of event.  Please have a look at our packages to understand the different the sizes of PA system we provide.  You can also contact us at or on 0800 1246132 to discuss your event and we can will recommend the type and size of PA system you need, to guarantee awesome sound.

I’m not sure what equipment I need?

Phone one of our technical team who will be happy to talk through the various equipment hire options. We can hire you speakers, PA systems, backline, DJ equipment, staging, lighting and AV conferencing equipment.

Do you hire band equipment?

Yes in addition to backline, we can hire you amplifiers for your drums, guitars or keyboards. We can also hire you the musical instruments themselves eg: a drum kit or keyboard.

What else do you hire?

In addition to PA and sound systems, we also hire out backline, staging, lighting, AV, lecterns amplifiers for your drums, guitars, or keyboards. We can also hire you the musical instruments themselves.

We can also supply you with AV equipment, lighting, marquees, heaters, additional transport, DJs, sound engineers – whatever you need to make your gig a huge success.

Do you hire AV equipment and/or lights?

Yes, we can supply you with all your audio-visual requirements and lighting for events of all types.

Do you deliver?

Yes delivery and collection comes as standard with all our equipment hires.  Delivery and Collection is free in West London, within 15 minutes of our office, outside of this we make a nominal charge for delivery and collection.

Do you charge for delivery and collection?

We provide free delivery and collection. Fees for delivery and collection outside of London vary and will be agreed with you at the time of booking.

Can you set up and de-rig?

Yes, we can. In fact, the majority of our equipment hires include set-up and collection as standard.  We charge a modest fee for set-up, sound check and de-rig of the system.

What times do you collect and deliver?

We can collect either the same evening, even as late as 4am, or the next day. Whatever is convenient for you, the venue and what we can do

How much do you charge?

Browse our daily rental rates, and then call us (24hr) to find out how much discount you qualify for. Our discounted rates can be as much as 50%.

How can I pay?

We prefer payment by BACS, however, we can accept cheque or cash if you would prefer. We accept all debit/credit cards, bank transfers and cash. We offer credit account facilities for regular hirers.

What happens if I have a technical problem?

We have staff on call 24 hours a day every day except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We will give you an emergency mobile number to call at the time of booking.

Is the equipment insured?

We are fully covered with private liability insurance and business equipment insurance.

Can you match my budget?

We keep our prices competitive and affordable for all customers and will do our best if you have a limited budget. Call us on 020 3637 2002 to discuss further.

Do you give discounts?

We offer special online prices, see our packages.  For custom quotes, we give all new customers a 20% discount if they book online.  If you are hiring equipment for longer than one day we can give you a discounted rate for the additional days. We also give a 30% discount on equipment hire to charities, social enterprises, and community interest companies.

When are you open?

We are open Monday to Friday 7am-7pm and Saturdays and Sundays 9am-7pm. Our telephone line is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all your enquiries.

Do you do deals on longer hire periods?

We operate a maximum four-day charge for a week’s use, and a maximum 12-day charge for a month’s use. We are happy to negotiate for longer periods of hire.

Can I collect and return the equipment to you?

We are open 24hr. Just let us know what times are convenient for you.

Can I rent the same day?

We prefer more notice, but if you have an urgent need, please do contact us.  Advance booking ensures the equipment is available.

What if I need to keep the equipment longer than I booked?

It is often the case that equipment is required for a longer period; just call us up if you need an extension on the hire.

Do you set up the equipment?

We can send an engineer to install systems if you require, a charge will usually be added for this service.

What if I have problems with the equipment?

We are open 24hr for any technical problems. Call us first and we will endeavor to either solve the problem or replace the equipment.

What about insurance?

Whilst the equipment is in your possession, you are responsible for insuring the equipment

I’m a new customer, what do I need to provide?

We ask new customers to verify their identity and leave a deposit for advance bookings, or pay in full if the event is taking place within 14 days.
